Each year Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, the Kentucky Exotic Pest Plant Council and the Garden Club of Kentucky publishes a poster of a featured plant that has proven to be invasive to Kentucky’s native habitats. These introduced plants are out-competing our native species resulting in a reduction of plant diversity. Be on the lookout for these invasive plants and avoid using them in your landscaping. Instead, use similar native plants that can and do provide similar enhancements to your environment.
