Celebrate sixteen years of ColorFest, one of the region’s best-loved festivals! Nature shows off her fall beauty as you enjoy nature-related activities for kids, affordable refreshments, live music and fun for all. ColorFest kicks off the 4th annual Scarecrow Jubilee, creative creations made by friends and visitors, gracing the arboretum through November 30th.
Families will enjoy Bernheim’s Nature Discovery Stations, nature-related hands-on arts and crafts, hands-on music, pumpkin painting, face painting, hayrides, a hay maze, wool spinning demonstrations, seeing birds of prey up close, geocaching instruction, the popular Boy Scout Troop 100 Rope Bridge and “The Purple Martin Man” Larry Melcher, who monitors and maintains Bernheim’s growing population of these special birds. Many other friends of Bernheim will be on hand to delight and entertain.
Live entertainment will include Porkchop and Pie, a duo performing everything from Loretta Lynn to Lynard Skynard; a Tai Chi demonstration, bluegrass with the Floyd Fork Ramblers and perennial favorites Troubadours of Divine Bliss.
