 The Garden Pavilion
The Garden Pavilion building is within the 14,000-acre Bernheim Arboretum
and Research Forest. The picturesque building is easily accessible and
is located at the edge of Lake Nevin near the main entrance. Flowering
trees and plants encircle the building, providing a breathtaking view
of the surrounding area. The facility will comfortably seat up to 60
people at tables, has men’s and women’s restrooms (not handicap
accessible. Accessible bathrooms are located at the Visitor Center),
and a small kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, sink and microwave.
Bernheim provides a serene and beautiful setting for business and educational
meetings. Corporations and non-profit organizations are invited to use
the facility for daylong retreats or meetings.
Isaac W. Bernheim stated that "No distinction will be shown between
rich or poor, white or colored. Every respectable man, woman, and
child will be made welcome, and all will be treated with an equal consideration." We
ask that you honor his wishes in both your speech and actions.
The following regulations apply for use of
the building:
• Groups size: Limited
to a maximum size of 60 people.
• Delivery:access to the Garden Pavilion
can be pre-arranged.
•
No vehicles are allowed on the walkways or pavers to the Garden Pavilion
without permission and
staff supervision.
• Catering: All visitors must notify
Bernheim when using a caterer.
• Set up: No fixtures or structures
can be set up outside the Garden Pavilion.
• Bernheim will provide tables and
chairs inside. Arrangement and set up is the responsibility
of the rental party.
• Restrooms: Men’s and women’s
restrooms are available inside the Garden Pavilion.
They are not handicapped
accessible.
• Times: The normal time period for
one rental is between 8:00 a.m. to 1 hour
before closing. Time outside this parameter is negotiable.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Rental Fee: There is a $50.00 non-refundable deposit
fee for all rentals. Payment in full must be received two weeks in
advance of scheduled date
• Corporate and individual rate: $500/day – $300/half
day
• Nonprofit 501(c) 3 rate: $250/day – $125/half
